Originally from Burgundy, this variety adapts well to our territory’s climate and altitude which ranges between 700 and 800 mt asl and is characterised by steep, sun exposed slopes. As a single varietal wine it is balanced, bright ruby red with a fruity bouquet that has a pronounced stawberry scent. It is delicate but also complex and intense with fresh, delicate tannins. Great pairing with local cured meats, particularly lard, motzetta and salami but also with a traditional mountain soup.
