DIY Pizza Instructions

Ordered a pizza kit and looking for a little direction? We got you! 


However you plan on baking your pizza, gently remove the dough from the plastic bag onto a lightly floured surface.  Don't re-shape the dough into a ball, rather gently press with your fingers into a rough circle. Cover loosely and let rest for 30 minutes. 

Preheat your oven! We like 500 degrees if you're using a baking stone, and 425 if you'll be baking your pizza on a baking sheet.

If you're using a stone, gently stretch your pizza out to a 12" circle on a floured peel. Top and slide onto the stone, and bake for about 10 minutes or until deep golden brown. 

If you're using a baking sheet, gently stretch your pizza dough out onto a 12" circle and arrange on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Top and bake for about 15 minutes or until deep golden brown (check the bottom!!).

You could also make...calzones! Gently stretch your pizza dough out to a 10" circle, add your fillings to one half and fold over. Create a seam and pinch tightly with your fingers. Brush with olive oil and bake at 400 until deep golden brown.

You could also....grill your pizza! Pre-heat your grill to a nice medium temperature. Lightly stretch your dough to a roughly 12" circle and quickly slap the dough onto the grill. Let cook until just lightly browned on the bottom and flip it over. Add your toppings and close the grill, cook until cheese is melted and toppings are cooked. You may need to move your pizza onto a cooler spot on the grill and/or slide it onto a baking sheet to let the toppings finish cooking/cheese melt without getting the bottom too dark.
